Women Empowerment Cell
The tragedy of India today is the tragedy of waste - waste of womenpower, waste of talent and experience which can be harnessed to great national purpose.
With this objective in mind, the MCA Department started the Women Empowerment Cell in October 2008.
Activities
1. Women Empowerment Cell of Department of Computer Applications conducted a Hands
on training on "Computer Awareness on Office Tools, Internet uses and
communication facilities" from May 28 to 30 ,2009. The sessions were
handled by the faculty members of Department of Computer Applications.
Certificate distribution for participants was done by Manager Dr. A.M. Chacko on
24th June 2009.
2. The Outreach & Women Empowerment Cell of MCA Department conducted a 2-day Training Programme on “Computer Awareness”
on 12th and 13th of November 2008 in the computer Lab of MCA Department. The
programme was meant for members of ‘Kudumbsree’ from various Panchayats. The
sessions were handled by the faculty members of Department of Computer
Applications
