One Day Linux Workshop Conducted by FOSS Cell
A one day workshop on Linux was
organized on Nov 4, 2009 by the
FREE SOFTWARE CELL jointly with
Indian Linux Users group Kochi Chapter. 30 Students of Ist year MCA programme
along with some faculties attended the workshop. The workshop was lead by Mr.
Sameer Thahir [Wipro technologies], Mr. Jay Jacob [Security Expert, Linux], Mr.
Sreenadh and Mr. Venkat.

Training Programme for Kudumbasree Members
The Women Empowerment Cell of Department of Computer
Applications conducted 3 day training programme on Computer Awareness on Office
tools, Internet Uses and communication Facilities from May 28 to 30, 2009. The
sessions were handled by the faculty members. Dr. A.M. Chacko, Manager, UC
College distributed Certificates on 24th June 2009.
