Free Open Source Software Cell (FOSS)
Free Software is the term introduced by Richard Stallman in 1983 for software which the user can use for any purpose, study the source code of, adapt to their needs and redistribute – modified or unmodified.
” Free / Open Source Software “ is a matter of Liberty, not Price. The software is liberally licensed to grant the right of users to study, change, and improve its design through the availability of its source code.
It offers four kinds of Freedom for the users of the Software. The Freedom to
• run the Program for any purpose.
