MCA Programme
In 2001, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
approved the proposal of the Association of the Union Christain College to start
a new technical institution under the name and style of Union Christian College
for conducting the three year Post Graduate Course of Master of Computer
Applications(MCA). 2.5 acres of land was set apart for the new institution with
academic,administrative and financial records including accounts maintained
separately. The institution is affiliated
to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
The Institution has highly
competent faculty of permanent and visiting teachers. They move beyond the formal
requirement of the syllabus, incorporating the latest developments in the
different areas of the discipline. The teaching faculty constantly update their
skills and knowledge by attending enrichment programmes, refresher courses and
national and regional level seminars and workshops.
The learning environment isintense and stimulating.The regular academic programme is supplemented by
seminars, workshops, self development and communication sessions and aptitude
reinforcement modules. the academic transactions are rigorous and
innovative.The students and the faculty are kept exposed to the latest
developments in the industry.

professionals who are also excellent human beings.
The department has the ideal infrastructure for
quality Computer Applications Programme.A full fledged Internet Lab,advanced
projection tools and a well-stocked and expanding library are some of the key
features.MCA building was inaugurated on January 10,2008 by Richard M
Stallman,leading expert on free software. A new seminar hall of seating capacity of 250 was opened in 2010.More
